Now that I look at it again, it looks like a belt buckle, although Yoda did not have a belt with buckle, as far as I know. Anyway, doesn't matter a lot I think. It's not part of the lamp, that's the most important...

We're going to extend the close a bit farther. With the holidays, and Aaron's hand there' no point rushing it.
