I bought the 1/537 scale kit purely as a practice workup for the 1:350 kit which I want to be perfect. Sure, I imagine I'll spend months on this thing only to produce a model I don't really expect to last, but I think it's going to be a great dry run considering I havent built physical models in...
Finally finished the temple "District" the sort of plinth/city block the temple sits on. Interestingly, this part of the temple was only seen in revenge of the sith. Only the top of the temple existed in the phantom menace/Return of the Jedi, and in attack of the clones we never saw the temple...
So for the past month or so I've been trying to lay out the Jedi temple. I figured it would be a quick build, but there turned out to be more complexity than I was expecting, and I'm a little OCD about accuracy. But behold! My progress so far.
Thanks!
Yeah, we never see a B-wing MK II, but there is an updated B-wing in Rise of Skywalker.
It doesn't use the cockpit from Leia's transport though.
So I wanted to push myself to model a little faster. I decided to do Leia's Transport from the Force Awakens: Visually it's a deceptively simple shape. (more on that later.) Big plus: being relatively new it isn't something I've spent 30 years loving. so if I got something slightly off I...
So I'm modeling RX-24 as he appeared when he was the captain of Star Tours.
Don't have a TON of reference to off, so doing the best I can to keep it accurate. There seem to be variations in the different anamatronics so I'm having to guess at what the "canon" REX could be as I go.
Progress...
Awesome thanks. I can't promise that it's perfectly 1:1 as I don't have blueprints and am having to eyeball it, but I'm doing my best to get the proportions dead on.
This render is my crude blocking model I used to work out the proportions
