Ya I'm pretty sure its highlighting the intricate details. Its the same thing on the other side. I'm not too worried about that if its fixable with bondo and sanding or whatever after the fact. As long as it will print something usable and has no major errors I'll be happy.
So I downloaded files for a helmet from thingiverse to print, and want to print them on 3d hubs and I'm getting a warnings about intersecting faces, intricate details issues, and non-manifold edges detected. Is this stuff I can ignore and will print fine? Any advice would be appreciated.
I want to buy this model and have it printed but I don't really know anything about 3d printing. All I want to know is if that model will work for 3d printing? Any other tips I might need to know before printing would be appreciated too.
I need your opinions, which alclad paint do you think is closest to the metallic hardware on the suit?

I plan on doing one myself some day. Here's a youtube playlist of a guy who walks you through an iron man helmet build starting from pepakura, it might be helpful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIHamhMdYYw&list=PL43D27B96B86684A9&index=1
The cables for the back of the helmet and side of the legs seem to be payphone chords http://www.payphone.com/Armored-Handset-Cord.html
credit to Eldritch Arts for finding that one
To be honest, the template of the switch box from deviantart is off, I've compared it to screenshots and it doesn't match up, they might have eye-balled it. I've taken dozens of screenshots and I'm re-doing my template and trying my best to make it as accurate as possible. As soon as I'm done...
