I took a gamble and purchased a pair that were indeed 6515r Elbow Pads, but were advertised with the 'McDavid' logo on the hex's. Instead, I received in the mail today a pair without the logo! Just waiting on the gloves and boots to arrive now. ^_^
Purchased a pair of black leggings today and followed the method of cutting along the inseam of the legs. This is without a face-shell so my ears are sticking out and the fabric isn't sitting as perfectly as it should with the waistline tucked underneath the face-shell, but it'll do for now...
that's a great idea for removing the logo! I picked away at mine and peeled away at it; took the course of half-an-hour. Still required a bit of tape to tap away at the small, finer pieces of material still stuck to it, and a damp cloth to erase the mark left. Might need a wash in the machine.
Yeah I finally got a reply from them this morning (albeit, from my largely furious email) they've offered me a refund, and let me know that the 8800 (not the 8810) was the actual replacement. I said I would be happy with that one though given I probably won't find the 8840 anywhere and the 8800...
An interesting development: I emailed compressionsale.com to make sure I was indeed shipped the 8840 instead of the 8800. They replied, informing me that that the 8840 has been discontinued and replaced with the 8810! The 8810 isn't even in the line of compression shirts; they're the compression...
Uh oh, that's unfortunate. I also ordered the 8840 from their website. So hopefully I get the right one! The one I ordered most certainly was the 8840, though it was titled 'McDavid Compression Shirt'. However upon reading the description; it is listed as product ID #8840. It's unfortunate they...
Cool method, I might go for the same thing with mine. Though I'm still unsure of how you cut the leggings. Did you cut the leg seams on both sides all the way up to the crotch?
Another possible candidate from hunting online. These appear to have the correct size and placement of zip-pockets. Not 100% sure on the seams but these pants are sold in a black and appear to be a far better course of purchase than the example I gave above. Thoughts on this also?

I'm still stuck on the pants, it's the last piece I need, however I came across these today. The closest I've ever come to the correct pants. I notice that the bigger zip on the right hand side isn't as visible as it is on the true pants, however everything else appears to be there. It's the...
These pants are ridiculous to ID! The closest I've come up with is this: http://www.511tactical.com.au/511-tactical-pants-mens-cotton.html But even so, I'm unsure about the height of the thigh-pockets, and the stitching of the seams.
Just purchased the Shirt, Elbow Hexpads, Forearm Hexpads and Wrist Supports. Cost me $200 NZD all up but hopefully it'll be worth it, and the two week wait. I got everything in a small size so I'll be sure to upload some pictures for anyone who may have the same body size as myself for some...
I've been spending my spare time over the last few days trying to find a decent site to order the main components of the black suit from. As I'm from New Zealand; McDavid doesn't ship to there so finding a store balanced with reliability and cost-wise was difficult. athleticcompression.com seems...
