Funny! I was just looking at these cubes thinking they could be adapted as a Time Lord Psychic Container by nesting a couple of them. But I want to achieve this slightly modified look to imply they're hypercubes. So simply nesting two cubes won't quite do the trick.

I would love to see the same for the 8th Doctor's console (or any for that matter). There are some good references (both drawings and photos) in the Regenerations book but I'm doubtful they're detailed enough to do an accurate build.

For a low cost option that certainly reads well. Without a close inspection I doubt it would stand out as wrong as part of a costume.

I now have this mental image of someone dressed like that and suspended in the harness and nonchalantly carrying out 'repairs' in various locations around a convention.
