So you prime it, paint a base coat with metal cast, and then final coat with sunburst red and laquer it? also, which laquer do you recommend?

I always completely finish the main helmet and ears first then fill in the insides of the ears with bondo and stick them to the panels where the ears go, the viscosity of the bondo allows you to work them to be flush with the helmet and then you just let it dry and its secured..
