I was at fan expo in Toronto last weekend and there was a Hasbro store with the shield to demo. My first impression was that it's VERY big. But then again, I'm not the same size as Chris Evans so it might just be screen accurate lol. The paint job is excellent and makes it look like it has a...
I used white glue and diluted it with water. About 50/50 of white glue and water, and I paint on 2-3 thin layers with a paint brush. It takes more time than Plasti dip but it comes out more even and definitely a lot less expensive. Good luck!
As someone who is interested in building Iron Man suits, this is definitely something up my alley. Do you make the 3D models yourself? Or is there a good support community that you can download models from?
Do you think that resin and bondo is necessary ? It'll make it more durable but I'm wondering if the suit just spray painted will be good enough to wear (ie to a party)
Hey
Your build is amazing! I am also thinking of starting a cardboard build myself. Have you worn the suit? Do you think it's durable? I've only built foam suits before so I'm just Questioning what kind of differences I should expect when I move to cardboard.
Amazing work!
Hi all
With a day to go I thought people would like to see the progress I've made. Pretty much everything was done free hand. The helmet was from a pep file that I modified for foam (I don't know who made it as I found it on google but thanks!) I also used Fatman's technique to make quick...
Here's my first version of the G1 Optimus Prime helmet. It's not as clean as I'd like but I think it turned out pretty decently. I'm going to try and insert blue LEDs for the eyes. Any idea what I can use for a 'filler' material to close up any spaces in the foam? Any advice would be appreciated.
Hey all,
I decided that I might wanna try working on a Generation 1 Optimus Prime. I'll be using foam and cardboard to build it. I'm going to try to model it after the Revoltech G1 Optimus Prime to make it look more "suit-like"
Does anyone know if there are any foam templates available? I...
Re: FOAM speed building files ►video◄ added.
Thank you so much for the video!!! I too would like to adopt your method for making my halloween costume this year. Mind if I ask what BRAND of foam you're using? I used an anti-fatigue mat - type foam last year and while the dimensional thickness...
Re: IRON PATRIOT Costume Build - TUTORIAL VLOG
Hearing that you'll be making another tutorial series is probably the best Canada's Day news I've ever heard lol. There's no Question that my own foam pep attempts would not have been possible without your videos. I can't wait to see more...
