    USS Stargazer (Ready Room Model)

My builds (the Hathaway and the brace of ready room replicas I'm finishing right now) all have the tread detail. Almost any 1/72nd modern tank will do, as long as the kit has both individual treads and longer unbroken stretches. Mine came from a Revell Leopard.

Project Mercury Launch Complex and Atlas rocket

Thank you! Gwendolyn is alive and well ... in a box with all the other jigs I had to build for this.

Star Wars Andor (Disney+ TV series)

Analyzer, your friend's opinion mirrors my own, but if people want to assume we don't like Andor because we have short attention spans, whatever. To elaborate a bit on this unpopular opinion-- I appreciate the show's deliberate pace, especially when most corporate-backed entertainment is going...

Star Wars Andor (Disney+ TV series)

A question for everyone-- My wife and I stopped watching Andor the episode before the heist. We agreed that it was immeasurably superior to the other SW shows, but the nominal protagonist, Andor, was the most passive and least fleshed out of all the characters. We simply didn't give a...

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Ah, I'd forgotten that exchange. Good catch! Didn't one edition of the Trek Encyclopedia (a resource I much prefer to Memory Alpha) list the Carolina as a Daedalus class?

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

But isn't that because the Klingons made that ship up in order to lure the Enterprise out of the system? In other words, it never really existed.

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Makes sense. I wouldn't want to leave either. This is not to poke holes in SNW as it's commonplace in all of Star Trek (e.g. Riker on countless occasions), but in a contemporary military is it even possible to refuse a promotion? Ah, okay. At least it's addressed in the episode, though that...

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Questions about the season finale (spoilers, so proceed at your own risk). . . . . . . . 1. How would writing a letter result in Pike not being promoted off the Enterprise by 2266? 2. If the whole point of the episode is to show Pike how his fate is inescapable (without an equally tragic cost)...

    Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Wow. So "willful ignorance" is his excuse. The hacks have fully taken over.

"The Orville". A Seth McFarlane Space Adventure on Fox

I was wondering that as well, especially given how right-leaning many Orville fans seem to be. Which is even odder when you consider MacFarlane's political thought and how much of it is expressed in the show.

Studio Scale Red Lectroid Thermopod - from "Buckaroo Banzai" FINISHED

Even more stunning! I'd never really noticed the "barnacles" on the underside before. Great sculpting. About how big is this overall?
