I work on several projects and get burned out after awhile but come back to them. The Time Machine has taken a lot of time to get to this stage for accuracy and I have redone some parts many times. I made the barber chair but was not satisfied with it and will redo that as well. My 2001 Moonbus...
I read my own last post and to clarify I DO NOT have the actual motorized parts that were sold at an auction, I meant to say that I made CAD parts from photos of the actual motorized parts and incorporated them in my model to where they would be located and how they would operate the number...
I do have the plans from this guy you mentioned and as helpful as they are they are not totally accurate in some areas from what I have found in my research, however I may have to resort to them if I can not get a clear copy of the blueprints that you will find on the DVD of the movie. Here is a...
Thank you 19narvik40. I was going to upload a sample of a 3d layout of level 1, however I exceeded the limit of uploading images. Oh well. 601, 601, 601 DISENGAGE, END PROGRAM, STOP.............
I agree halliwax. This concept was much more believable in my opinion than the 1960's version. It showed more functionality than the typical flashing lights and twirling thing-a-ma-gigs. I like the movie Time after Time but did not like the time machine in that movie at all.
Does anyone have a clear set of blueprints from the Movie. I heard that they were out there. It would make this project go a lot easier. I know that the actual prop did not follow the blueprints to the letter, however I am getting into areas that are harder to figure out and what blueprints I...
Thanks Wes R! Its amazing the amount of time and effort that is spent researching a project. Spent many hours looking at frame by frame stills and using Michael Crichton book for reference. I tried to form a logical layout according to the movie, laying out every room that was seen in the movie.
I would like to model the Sarang Moonbase from the movie MOON. There is suppose to be set blueprints but I can not find them anywhere on the net. I have a lot of reference photos from Bill Pearson and Gavin Rothery. I would appreciate any help thanks.
I am not sure where to post this but I thought there might be some interest. My concept version of the layout of the secret underground labs of the WILDFIRE complex from the 1971 movie The Andromeda Strain.
Thanks for the kind words everybody. Like many of us I use to have the original Aurora Moonbus as a kid. I also have this thing about BLUEPRINTS, I can not explain it they interest me in seeing how things are made especially when it comes to sci fi movie blueprints. I was wanting to make my own...
I am still not finished with them, in fact I just got some new information on the actual parts on the RCS thrusters and the prints need to be updated. I don't have all of the kit parts and have replaced some with what I thought they might be, however the scale is correct as far as my research...
Thanks for the pictures Gene they are great. Does anyone have a kit scan of the 1/200 renwal polaris sub? I have researched a lot on the Moonbus with JFB64 and myself and made a studio scale CAD model from the known parts that I know of and perhaps some of the details are also from this kit.
