Dr. Eggman 2 Day Speed Build

Not entirely build-related, but I posted my suit on Twitter and got a reply from the Eggman himself!

Dr. Eggman 2 Day Speed Build

The Eggman cometh! I was tasked with building a full Dr. Eggman suit for a meet and greet event. The challenge was that by the time I was commissioned I only had two days until the event! I was super fortunate that I had a lot of the necessary items already on hand. The only things I had to buy...

COMPLETE *new pics* Homemade Spidey Suit (Not Homecoming)

...as long as I'm here, I've actually made a few more upgrades since last time. First off, a pair of more comic-esque lenses in white mesh (magnetically interchangeable!) Login • Instagram I've also revamped the boots. The old soles were wearing through, so I bought a pair of red mesh...

Glad to see this thread isn't dead! As for the mask, the red mesh fabric used is a bit stiffer than plain spandex, and it was patterned out on a head form with a faceshell. The result is a mask that's fitted for a shell, but stiff enough to support itself without one.

I'm necroposting my own thread! I've made a few upgrades since my last outing. Firstly, I've added some shoulder pads for a more heroic profile. It helps the look immensely! Then I ripped out the old grip rings from the boots. They worked, but only if I was standing perfectly still. They've...

Homestretch! The eyes are finally attached to the mask. The magnetic lenses turned out perfectly! I ultimately decided to go with the classic solid "tick" spider on the back. Yet more flexi-dip was used for a rubbery texture, but it looks like the Texas humidity caused some cracking :(...

Little update. I've found a way to keep the boots in place without any form of hooks or button snaps! How did I accomplish such a feat, you may ask? Fabric interfacing and hot glue! The interfacing stabilizes the opening of the boot, and the hot glue acts as a grip against the pants. Once...

Dude! Now that's a quintessential Spidey suit! Please tell me you have a thread of this beauty.

Today has been productive! I've coated the bottoms of the boots with a generous amount of red flexi dip. Hopefully this will prevent embarrassing slips and faceplants. And the focal point, the mask! Without a faceshell to attach to, I have to devise a way to keep the lenses aligned. My plan...

COMPLETE *new pics* Homemade Spidey Suit (Not Homecoming)

The entire torso is now webbed! I'll need to add stirrups to the sleeves to keep them from sliding up my arms. Now to figure out the back spider. It's a toss up between puff paint, fabric spray paint, and top sewing red fabric. I'll definitely be going with the classic "fat tick" look, though...

A bit more progress to be had. Now the mask is fully webbed: And a full suit up! (Censored for obvious reasons) Still far from complete, and those wrinkles on the lower back concern me. I might try taking it in a tad, but I'm limited by the zippers. Too much and I won't be able to pull it...

I appreciate the compliment, but I haven't actually puff painted yet :p This is just the guidelines in marker. Maybe I won't have to puff paint if it looks this good already!

I now have the beginnings of boots! I plan to attach a pair of water shoes inside, then I'll need to figure out a way to keep them from sliding down my legs. I'm leaning towards snaps or hooks. And the last piece of this fabric puzzle, the gloves! Nothing complicated here. I just traced my...
