Ahh well that's not me. I think I was the tallest one there lol. I will be going to the May comic con with my slight improved iron man suit! Come say hi if you get a chance :)
Hey dude! thats me :) I didn't manage to get any pictures at all! I barely got in the expo haha. Any pictures would be great! I can't seem to find any :(
Thanks for all the suggestions! I just used regular camping mats for £5 each since it was my first build. I used only 3 coats of PVA before priming and painting it so it looked quite bumpy. I am hoping to get some plasti dip to smooth the surface over to get rid of the bumpy look.
Well, I use camping mats. my arm guard was ripped off a couple times but they do have hot glue in the cosplay area for some quick fix. My magnets did come off a few times too because I keep taking the face mask off. I shall see you then!
ps. never wear it to pubs as some people show no respect...
Hi I recently made an iron man suit and wore it for a day and the paint started to rub off. It was a quick job and I only applied 3 to 4 layers of PVA before spray painting the suit. The suit turned out to be very bumpy.
I was wondering if it is possible for me to get some plasti dip and spray...
Hey Helagak! Thanks for all the picture you posted! I couldnt have done made my suit without referencing your pictures! I found that some of the original files were a bit hard to read.
Anyhow massive thanks again!
I had to fix mine 3 times - people keep knocking my armguard off!
Also the magnets on my faceplate keeps coming off too - does anyone have any good ways to glue magnets onto fiberglass without it coming off?
thanks dude with your quick reply!
I just gone through your posts and discovered you did 45 degree angles.
I really would love to watch all his videos but I dont have the time at all to go through each one. when I come home from work I only get 2 maybe 3 max hours of sunlight left so i have to...
Re: Ironman fom first ever build. Ideas welcome!!
I tried doing the back piece today and I complete failed.
1) i didnt do ANY layering like you did
2) I think my foam is a bit too thick 10mm
3) how did you get the seem to look so good?! did you cut slopes on both bit so they fit or did...
Awesome! I will have a look through tonight after I finish work today. I got a 33" waist so lets hope it would be ok. The one I worry about the most is the chest/back and the helmet. I guess I will have to complete the chest/back to see if it would fit.
OP, how tall are you? I am 6"3 and i think the original templates may be a tiny bit too small... I only just completed the chest piece and starting on the spine
Re: IRON MAN Mark 4/6 Pepakura FOAM Templates- *Video Tutorial Link in first Post*
I have just started building this... I am not sure if it would fit or not.
has anyone got any idea what the 'max' height for the default template is?
If so, could anyone suggest a 'resize' percentage?
I am 6...
