The XBee chip is a wireless transmitter/receiver. Does the numeric display have one too? Until someone finds it on screen, my theory will be that it's an off-screen remote control for something. However, if that's true, I would have expected it to be labelled better.

When I last asked about the Zat gun, they were having trouble making it affordable. They auctioned the prototype and serial number 1 at a charity auction a few years ago. They still haven't been handed over and the guy who won one of two was told recently that they should be available soon.
