    ManitobaMando's Armory

Beautiful fantasy armour. Reminds me of Elven armour. Very nicely done. :-)

FILE RELEASED: Tie Pilot Helmet Pepakura

Re: Tie Pilot Helmet Pepakura That is some fantastic work there friend. :) Are they 'stormtrooper/ebay' lenses on the Pred helm? I love the wear/use detail you've added there. Looks just like it's been dropped on the bench a few times after a hard day's Xenomorph hunting. Perhaps you could...

    DEADPOOL: Hopefully a costume worthy

Hi there. I'm also working on a Deadpool costume (in really slow time) as I've been a fan since New Mutants 98 (although perhaps not of the Rob Liefield version). I was at Dragon*Con last year and saw all the spandex costumes (and the myriad 'gag' versions) which set my teeth on edge. So I...

What UK hobby stores are there?

Hi there. I've travelled a fair bit in the UK and never come across another shop like Comet Miniatures. To be honest, you best bet is to ask CM yourself. I've always found them to be very helpful, not to mention knowledgeable about scale modelling in general.

Hi im Rj from Face off season two just registered and ...

Hi RJ. Great to see you on the RPF. I stumbled across an advert for "Face-Off" while watching another [downloaded] show and was immediately hooked. (We don't get Face-Off or anything like it in the UK.) My favorite creation of series 2 was your Bell-hop from "Burtonesque". I could...

SWTOR: Sith Acolyte Armor Building (WIP, First try)

Very nice work so far. I'm also interested in making a similar costume so will be watching your thread with interest. What will you be using to cover the Pep models?

    Lego Star Wars Speeder Bike

Hi Gerry. Don't even go there man! My wife would sooner bury me in a Lego coffin than allow me the time and space (and budget) for a project of that scale. :( However, . . . . a Shield Helicarrier is still a possibility later this year. I just have to decide on a sensible scale . . . .

    Lego Star Wars Speeder Bike

Hi Mike J and Chaank. Thanks for the feedback. Although I don't play with Lego so much now, every now and then I get inspired to create 'great' works like the speeder bike and SSD Executor. Who knows what it will be next time (when the budget allows). :)

    Hell Spawn

Hi Nytefall. I saw you briefly at the LSCC. Costume looked great. I hadn't realised you were on the RPF or I would have stopped for a quick chat (or possibly mumble in your case). Here's the picture I snapped.

    Lego Star Wars Speeder Bike

Hi Leigh. Thanks for the comment. :) While I was in Atlanta I was shopping around with my friend (who did not know about his birthday present at this point) in Atlanta's Lego shop. I was looking for inspiration for my next scale build and saw an MoC flying pirate ship . . . . and immediately...

    Lego Star Wars Speeder Bike

Hi Nazgul. The scale was determined mainly by the type of Lego pieces available. I could have made it smaller but it would have lacked detail or accuracy. If I made it bigger then the front 'arms' would bend too much with the weight of the front steering deflectors. Also, as I was carrying...

Costume Footwear - A Cautionary Tale

Hi All. Last year I attended Dragon*Con in Atlanta. I had an excellent time, both in and out of costume. I was visiting a friend who lives in Atlanta, and who was also Director of the "Rise of the Independents" discussion panels. The costume, that I had schlepped all the way over from the...

Incidentally, the steering handle-bars could be moved as could the deflectors at the front of the bike.

    Lego Star Wars Speeder Bike

Hi All. This is my second main thread, and yes, it's another Lego scale model build. I made this last year for a friend's 40th birthday present, and took it with me to Dragon*Con in Atlanta (but that's a different story). Like the SSD Executor model (see other thread) I had seen pictures of...

So, I'm Building A Super Star Destroyer: A WIP

Hi there. When I built my 2.3m long Lego Executor model (in another thread) I used images from this site as reference material. Super Star Destroyer ?Executor? Studio Model photos from Marco Groen These are photos of the original studio model. Best of luck. It's one of my favorite star ships. :)
