    Finally, a gold mirror paint!

You're describing a process for painting the FRONT side of an object. These paints go on the BACK side of CLEAR things. You LOOK THROUGH the item to see the shiny surface.

    Finally, a gold mirror paint!

These paints are made specifically for use on the BACK SIDE of clear, gloss surface things. The Spaz-Stix paint is intended for Lexan RC car bodies but also works on glass, styrene and other materials. The Rust-Oleum paints are intended for glass but also work on other materials, except for styrene.

Stoner mold release that leaves glossy, paintable surface on urethane?

Question for people using any of the Stoner line of mold releases. Which one works for urethane pressure casting in silicone molds and leaves a glossy finish on the castings, and can either be painted over or will clean off the casting so it can be painted?

    Finally, a gold mirror paint!

If you spray ordinary metallic paint onto glass and look at it through the glass, you will not get a reflection like a mirror, you get a dull colored surface that does not reflect an image. With the silver Mirror Effect from Rust-Oleum you do. Spaz Stix Ultimate Mirror Chrome will also make a...

    Pressure Casting-Grizzly Paint Pot Conversion

If you need BIG pots, try and find old ones made by the Pressed Steel Tank Company. The company shuttered its US factory years ago and no longer makes pressure tanks. They make gas bottles in some other country now. Their pressure tanks have big lids and 6 or 8 clamps. One I have has a data...

Rust-Oleum Mirror Effect now comes in GOLD! Product number 286477 Like the silver Mirror Effect the paint is made for back side painting of glass smooth surfaces such as glass (duh), Lexan, urethane castings and other solvent resistant plastics but NOT styrene. I've tried it on a urethane...

Pur & Kleen Water Company logo art. The Expanse

Made my own, plenty large enough it prints nicely at full US letter size for big heat transfers and will scale down for shoulder or pocket patches. https://flic.kr/p/F8psHc I didn't keep the PSD for this one after flattening. Quickie job. Fonts likely aren't exactly right. Dunno why SyFy did...

    Jeffersonian lab coat patch artwork.

The design of the patches on their lab coats is very different from the logo used on the ID/access cards. Doesn't look like embroidery, yet. I need to research methods for doing embroidery FX in Photoshop. I can send the PSD with all the separate layers if someone wants to do something with...

Paint that looks like gold leaf?

Here's the Plaid Florentine Gold on the back side of a piece of glass. Not at all reflective. Looks exactly like any other gold metallic paint with a dull 'metallic' look that has very visible flakes. Looks to me as if the "dissolved copper" on the card is rather optimistic. The super shiny...

Paint that looks like gold leaf?

I'm going to try Amaco Brush 'N Leaf and Plaid Liquid Leaf - and do what nobody else has done with either. I'll paint swatches on a piece of glass then take good photos of the opposite side and... post them online for all to see. Gasp! Jo-ann Fabrics has both of the paints in stock.

Paint that looks like gold leaf?

I'd like to see an example of the Alclad back painted onto glass before I'd spend money on it. I only see examples of it painted onto the outside of things on sites selling it. Another possibility is Amaco Brush 'N Leaf liquid, but same deal, outside surface examples only.

Paint that looks like gold leaf?

I have been searching for paint that when applied to the back side of glass or clear plastic looks like GOLD. Not "metallic" but shiny solid metal gold like the vacuum sputtered metal finish often used on plastic in the 1940's and 1950's. A short time ago today I found this...

Lots of original Star Wars props sold on eBay today.

The original Slave Leia outfit was one of the lots, and from the pictures it appears that in addition to the screen worn costume several prototype/rejected parts were included. Good pics to have for people who collect such information...
