To get the full effect of netflix, you need the disc service. If you go with three at a time you can watch a movie nearly every night(I did it for four years, over 800 movies). As long as you don't have to see what just came out, you will never lack for a movie. There is no video store that is...

It is tough because you have a limit on downloading. I have been happy with dropping cable, bumping my internet connection up and using a mix of Roku(for channels and access on the tv with no network connection), Netflix and Amazon Prime. Combined, these are less than half of my cable costs.

Use the force, erh, internet. Leo Fender couldn't play and neither can I, but I did learn how to build guitars. Everything is on the internet, woodworking, wiring, string selection. The hardest part would be making a reinforced(trussed) neck, but you could buy one if can find a close enough...

I got dead ends on some of the other stuff, but most of it looks like bought rather than made items. The boxes and brush on his table would be much easier to pick up from a thrift shop or flea market and throw some gold paint on, than build from scratch. That mirror really looks like a bought...
