The Wand Company TOS Tricorder is coming!

WandCo did point out powering down by holding the center button for 5 seconds in their FAQ's. It's applicable from the Home Screen, not available while in other modes.

Is there an archive of the original TOS comm pics from Herocom

It looks like HeroComm is back up, under new management, screen cap attached. Phaser and Tricorder info is missing so it’s all about the communicators. http://herocomm.com/Home.htm HeroComm

RubberToe Replicas: Tardis Siege Cube Review!

Putting felt on one side would be better as an option, can’t imagine many would want them that way. Glad mine doesn’t have felt on one side Noticed that Rubbertoe is offering their take on a Rubik’s cube stand that fits these cubes now.

Star Trek TOS Phaser-Controlled Rock Mood Light

Chris, just noticed your post here hence the delayed response. . . Here are a couple of photos I took while it was apart that may help you. Unlike the P1 from WandCo's Universal Phaser Remote this one comes apart very easily [SNAP-FIT] without any chemical welds or glue holding the parts...

Star Trek TOS Phaser-Controlled Rock Mood Light

No I didn’t make any mods to their P2 remote. There is an operational bonus in using an anodized aluminum nozzle, the remote has increased range in controlling the rock.

Star Trek TOS Phaser-Controlled Rock Mood Light

Thanks, they are real easy mods and these details make a nice difference in its looks. There is no need to repaint unless you want to, I didn't. Anything is possible, I personally have no desire to make a pop up sight on this piece. Wand Company could certainly have designed this with a pop up...

Star Trek TOS Wand Company Communicator Modification Project! Alpha To Beta Version.

Re: Star Trek TOS Wand Company Communicator Modification Project! Alpha To Beta Vers IMHO, The Wand Company Power Switch is a major fail waiting to happen on all of their comms unless they've revised for later runs. I took mine out to repair it pictured below. These metal tabs will...

Star Trek TOS Wand Company Communicator Modification Project! Alpha To Beta Version.

Re: Star Trek TOS Wand Company Communicator Modification Project! Alpha To Beta Vers To remove the original plastic T-Jet Knobs I cut them off with a pair of side cutters. You'll probably want to have replacements on hand before attempting to remove the originals because they will be...

Star Trek TOS Wand Company Communicator Modification Project! Alpha To Beta Version.

Re: Star Trek TOS Wand Company Communicator Modification Project! Alpha To Beta Vers I'm committed to taking this fully apart since the left switch loosened from the board. The left switch wobbled but still worked so I left everything alone until replacement parts could be obtained. I...

Star Trek TOS Wand Company Communicator Modification Project! Alpha To Beta Version.

Re: Star Trek TOS Wand Company Communicator Modification Project! Alpha To Beta Vers Great job on the Wand Co comm mod! I've drilled/tapped mine and installed 2-56 brass pateena slotted screws. One thing I'd love to do is replace the back comm shell. This would get rid of the FCC indent...

Star Trek: TNG Bluetooth Comm Badge on the way

I'll pass on this one but between Apple's announcement of AirPods yesterday and seeing this today. My hopes of a Wand Company TOS Earpiece are improving every day! Paging Wand Company, hint, hint, nudge, nudge. This would make an excellent follow up for the great Bluetooth Communicator...

Star Trek TOS Captain's Chair buttons and switches

^ Here are the ones I saw on eBay, probably from the same run you referenced http://m.ebay.com/itm/191884464574?_mwBanner=1 They're showing up as temporarily sold out so hopefully there will be another run. In the meantime I'm considering threading a resin replica white push button and...
