    Starspeeder 3000 Kit ID

I don't know if there is still any interest in this, but I was looking through the "Star Wars Chronicles" book and came across the Starspeeder photos, recognized a part, and remembered this thread. The part is located on either side of the top rear module, it is a lighted anti-tamper push...

F#$! - My MR falcon Headlight just went out...

Re: F#$K - My MR falcon Headlight just went out... Are they LED's or lights? It all depends on how they wired it up. If they properly lit the LED's, then they should last almost forever. It may be a faulty connection, maybe a bad switch. If you can get into it to examine it, you may get lucky...

Some Studio Scale TIE Fighter/Interceptor Questions

They are LED holders!!!! They are just backwards. You drill a hole in a panel, and this is pushed in from the front, then a ring is snaps over it from behind and then you push the LED through. Hope this helps, I'll pm you about the parts, also, I may have a possible source for the LED holders...

Some Studio Scale TIE Fighter/Interceptor Questions

Yes, I know what this feels like, I was trying to find someone who had some 1/15 Hummel castings, but no such luck for me either.... I wish I could give you some help, I would be interested in scratch building one of these myself, but those wing stars would be a nightmare! I can tell you this...

    Classic Viper Build-up -- FINISHED!

Re: Classic Viper Build-up -- FINISHED! Yes!!! Another confirmed part just a few more to go!!!! I looked on the 8rad and found 4 of those light things, they look close, I'll post a photo later but my camera will not take those perfect pics that Rob's does. Maybe if your up to it Rob, you could...

10 easy steps to LED resistor value identification

TriCloudwalker, If you want to run a large quantity of LED's as mentioned, I would suggest using an LED driver. The current need for the driver will be stated in the specs, then you just find an appropriate "Wall Wart" though you will probably need a larger capacity one for your needs. If you...

10 easy steps to LED resistor value identification

I started writing this for another thread, and I thought I should start a new one so that others could refer to it in the future. This should unravel the mysteries of the LED for a few and give a little more direction for their use. I just wanted to add a note about LED's, they will work...

    Classic Viper Build-up -- FINISHED!

Re: Classic Viper Build-up -- FINISHED! Hey, that looks very promising indeed! I still want to find that "Y" part to finish that area off! I know it's a simple scratch build, but I really want to find that part:cry Do you guys know if they used "Plastruct" parts? I was looking at some of those...

Galactica nameplate decal - first attempt

Andrew, I am in agreement with you, you should get rid of the entire model....to me:love No, but really, in the viper thread I was going to ask you to start a new one featuring your Galactica, you have to admit, those colors are quite striking! As to the name plate, I really don't think it...

    Classic Viper Build-up -- FINISHED!

Re: Classic Viper Build-up -- FINISHED! Andrew, great photo, I agree with you about the quality of the kit.:thumbsup I was looking through some kits and trying to find that "Y" piece. If you split that part and say it is from two kits, then I have a possible part for the back half, look on...

Randy Cooper 38" Star Destroyer Kit

No, I am sorry guys, Coby is right, 50 is nothing, if you look at an array, that's 7 across and 7 down, that is not even enough for the bridge! At 2000, that array is 142x142. I know this sounds like a lot, but if you take something small, such as a BB or small beads (T1 LED's will work too)...

    Classic Viper Build-up -- FINISHED!

Re: Classic Viper Build-up -- FINISHED! Well, I think I have finally gone too far... That I what I thought when I received the Lindberg Blue Devil Destroyer, the box is like four feet long!!!! And Rob, I too got one of the ESCI T34/76, and if you want to reproduce the "soft mushy" details, use...
