update to the query, I've done the helmet of the Mk 37 Iron Man suit in cardboard and had real issues with getting the curves right, does anyone have any advice or methods to get it smooth?

looks like the sleeves are textile, I have a Triumph jacket that's black and it seems similar to the main body in fabric style.
The further into the film it got the more I liked the jacket, well the whole outfit, seemed to work really well.

I did a mark 3 iron man helmet as my first build and still 2 years later i've still been too lazy/scared to attempt the matting and bondo stage, I don't want to mess it up but gonna start something else soon so it's gonna turn into a practice piece.
