    Painting platinum silicone, help please

The contractors caulk is likely a 100% pure silicone (see through). It is tin-cure and you might have trouble getting it to stick to the platinum silicone. You can buy it in the States for around $5 or $6 homeowners' size.

    Lifesize zombie bust

Nice work! I'm an airbrusher too, and appreciate the work that went into this. One question: how did you make the skin textures in the clay? Did you drag all of those wrinkles, or did you stamp/roll some of it with a texture stamp?

    Finished my Yoda head sculpt

Smurf, I'm impressed. I made a marionette 1:1 Yoda puppet back in 2000 for my Halloween "costume." It went over like gangbusters. Great work!

Same kind of detail, but costs more--depends if you need more than one pull from it. As for casting plat sil in plat sil mold, you need to use silicone mold spray release according...

I need help on making metal casts of molds

My son and I have cast pewter in Smooth On Rebound 25 with great results. Be sure to give the mold a thickness of at least 1/2" all the way around. I made a glove mold and cut the clay original out using an exacto. Then, I wrapped tin foil around it (extra heat sink) and taped it with...

    need help casting whole head!!!

I used to use alginate, but now I'm using SmoothOn Body Double Silk. You can get more than one pull from it. It's a platinum-cure silicone, so you'll need to use a release spray if you want to cast another plat-sil in it. Here's a photo of a resin cast of my son's head. It was pretty...
