What leather are you using to die when wet? Veg-tanned leather of most grades will harden on you if you wet it and then saturate it with dye. Wetting can also cause blotting. And my most sincere apologies, never meant to take a pot shot, only to simply state that we can save hours of stitching...

Chicago screws are a great idea. Depending on the quality of the plastic, you may also want to consider a washer to the interior of the pants to give it a little bit more even distribution of pressure against your holsters. -Arcko

Managed to snag a paperweight off of eBay yesterday for $40. A bargain considering the thing is actual metal and 4.5" x 3.5". Quite a bit bigger than the pendant, not that I don't still want one of those simply for walking around. Go big or go home, I say! -Arcko
