GI Joe Goes Ape!
Mini Me
Well I've not made one of these since 1974. (Before those poor Mego imposters hit the shops) All my joes went Ape in those days.[/IMG]
This is over an old 64 X talking Joe that was face blackened and beyond repair. This is my first attempt since 74!
Great job again Gordon.
You certainly don't hang around on these!
So what's next? How about a man catcher and an original turkey leg club?
There's always the Alfa Omega (full size).
Superb work, keep it coming and great reference pics too.
Interested in seeing the rifle sling as I'm torn between the beneath and the original fixing.
Great stuff, looking forward to these.
The pistol looks to be closely based on a WWII U.S Air Force survival revolver.
Not sure about the machine gun, somewhere between a WWII M3 grease gun, Thompson, Reising or a even a german MP40?
Well I'm a purist/traditionalist when it comes to POTA. As close to the 1968 Original film for me really. I think the apemania stuff is as close as you can get. Great guys to deal with too!
Those above prosthetics you highlighted do appear very reasonable and good value.
Jessica is without...
Thanks for coming back so quickly!
That's great advice.
I've a cardboard template which feels about right, just need to find the wood next.
Looking forward with great interest to seeing the Beneath Machine gun and the pistol.
More Ape stuff needed.
Nice work!
Looks a very good example. Can I ask about dimesions?
I've seen the film prop marked up as 35.5 inches long and a genuine M1 carbine as 37.5 inches. My guess it must fall between these figures.
Could you tell me how wide and deep it should be?
Would I be close in...
Hammer time was indeed the finest Vampire time.
Sir Christopher Lee, the master of the genre.
Where did it all go wrong .........? I blame that buffy bird for starting the modern rot.
