Some friends of mine just made their first resin model kit called Daphne's Surprise.

Space City Resin is proud to announce our first-ever resin model kit, Daphne’s Surprise. The first in the Filmy’s Girls line of retro pinup-style model kits, Daphne’s Surprise is a 1/6 scale kit sculpted by the legendary Mike Petryzak, cast by Forbidden Zone’s master caster Mike Allen, and produced by filmmaker and long-time modeler Marc Havican. The box art illustrations are done by graphic artist extraordinaire and babe kit aficionado Greg Watters, known far and wide as ResinBabes.
Daphne has been an explorer since childhood. While most of her schoolmates were playing with Barbies and tea sets, she and her two best friends – Brooke and Christa – roamed the nearby woods in search of adventure, often returning home after dark with a rucksack full of bugs and critters.
After graduating from Chelsea Bonestell High School, Daphne, Brooke, and Christa enrolled in Roddenberry University, where they each earned Ph.Ds in Applied Physics and Aerospace Engineering. All three joined the Intergalactic Space Patrol and set off to explore the universe.
Daphne’s Surprise captures a scene from the girls’ first expedition to an alien world. Daphne – ever the intrepid explorer – could not wait to clamber down from the three-finned rocket and set out on a new adventure. Shortly after leaving her gleaming cylindrical chariot, she encounters her first alien life form, a tentacled critter named Orb.
The Daphne kit contains eleven pressure-cast parts, a colorful instruction booklet and CD with step-by-step photographs and a WIP of the assembly and painting process, and full-color glossy photographs of the finished model. Each kit will be numbered and include a foil-embossed Certificate of Authenticity signed by the producer, sculptor, and caster.
