My first 1/12 scale: Bandai C3PO with a surprise

So it's the same Bandai kit that's been making the rounds, but once I discovered the LED-eye kit from Tirydium Models, I was compelled to try it out. I've been collecting the 1/12 scale Black Series and SH Figuarts action figures for a while, and this kit felt like it would slot in nicely with my collection. I haven't done models before, but this was really accessible and I only did minimal painting for some details, going for the clean-look.
I haven't worked with LEDs this small before, so it was kind of shocking to open the package.

Testing the light diffusion - while the instructions were pretty straight forward, there was lot more cutting and clearing than I expected to get everything to fit and thread nicely.

Threading through the knee was easily the most difficult part

I was pretty thrilled to get here - basically the hard part was over

Everything still works!

I didn't want the wire coming off the bottom of his foot, so the back of the heel worked well

He lives!

The Bandai 1/12 scale C-3PO was a fun build except those two screws on the sides of his hips. Why they weren't molded is beyond me.

OMG, thx so much for sharing this. Your 3PO looks awesome and I can't wait to add this light kit. I hope they make one for R2.
