A blaster to wear for The Last Jedi premiere - not that I know which cinema's here in Melbourne are popular with the cosplay crowd...
Its Sergey Kolesnik's model from CGTrader, although I did make a few modifications and a couple of fixes for some doubles and internal geometry that needed to go - and of course cut it up for printing.
Just your standard builders bog(bondo), automotive spray filler and sanding deal.
Paints used and layered in this order were Dulux Duramax metallic finish - flat black - gloss namadji and semi gloss clear.
I still have a fair amount of weathering to do with steel wool and maybe some polishing after that.
The story behind the blaster is that it was a reward for a young Imperial interrogation specialist after he broke a Mandalorian captured in the dying years of the Empire.
