Started working on a small project this week for a friends birthday. I found a 12" Jakks Pacific on clearance at Walmart of my friend's favorite character from Rogue One and decided to make a statue for her. One thing I found from modifying these smaller Jakks Pacific toys compared to the larger ones is that they are horrible to take apart. They use no screws at all, so this meant I spent about an hour carefully cutting the toy apart with a Dremel. After a days work this is my progress so far.

Going to fill in gaps and sculpt in more detail with green stuff in the week and start painting hopefully by the weekend.
Love some feedback and general thoughts!

Figure I post an update of what I got so far. Pants are sculpted and curing, need them to dry before I do anything else. New thing I'm trying to figure out what to do about the scarf. It tends to just jut out and hang. Not sure if I should sculpt a new one or try to melt it with a heat gun.

Time for an update. I've been sick for the last week and just couldn't get any work done. But, I got the sculpting done today, so tomorrow I can sand and prime her. I also sculpted up her base. I decided to use paper clay for the base so it will be nice and light in the end. For those who don't know, paper clay is clay made of paper pulp. It weighs almost nothing, dries in a few hours, and sands down beautifully (it's amazing for light weight props made from cardboard, paper, and mache). Hopefully will have more posted soon.
