First of all Good evening everybody!!, ive been reading you guys from the shadows since a long long time ago, but now it´s time to step out in the light!
My girl and i have been Star Wars geeks since we were childs, an i thought it could be nice (since she wants to join the spanish mandalorian mercs) to try something:
We have played SWTOR since 2014 and we loved the first cinematic CGI Trailers (specially the decieved!!!) and how is it possible to not love Darth Malgus and Eleena, so why not try to recreate the blasters that Eleena is holding during that Jedi Temple battle in Coruscant:).

So to make this short, i want to make a build from almost scratch (we bought a childs toy gun because we want the first prop to be functional because.... piuum piumm ^^) modify the heck out of it and then see if we can make a cast out of it if it turns out well :p.
I will be posting more info on the working process,

Have a lovely night!!

Hi again, this is the childs toy i mentioned (yeah i know it is ultracheap but the important thing for me is the basic revolver gun form :p)

And this second picture just shows what you can do with a simple repaint (DL44 from hasbro i think) not aiming for a replica, just having some fun repainting it.

Sorry for the crappy Phone pictures, have a good weekend!

Woah... 4 weeks.. well this project is still alive! It´s been a crazy month at work, but in the meantime i´ve gathered some pieces, glued them, cut some others, used some putty to fill the screw holes in the gun... and after the best work in the world (sanding of course!) some updates:

If somebody is asking himself... yep the gun barrel its a bad sliced pvc tube, i know i have to do more details on the gun but so far so good, soon the eva foam madness will begin!
Have a good night!

Due to the easy nature of the material, i decided to add a lot of layer details using some EVA Foam and some spare parts so in the future i could make a silicone mold.

Registration Marks done for the silicone to create a path for the second half ^^... and some foam core for the wall containers

And this is all for today..... gotta warn you... my first attempt in doing the mold was catastrophic, for some odd reason the silicone didn´t cure and i had to buy a ton more to replace it.. but on the bright side, i redesigned the mold system and the walls to spend less plasticine and silicone at the same time... stay tuned for more :)

(NEW MOLD DESIGN)

I decided not to throw away the original mold and use it to cast 1/2 of the blaster to see how would the finished product look alike... here´s the copy and next to the original piece with the half new mold.... gotta say... not to shabby :D
