I noticed that the crystals have faces carved on the ends (sandstone part)

Funny that a couple of the props are Serbian army canteens with greeblies added.
There is also a old PDT product hand scanner with a scope attached.

They are quite odd sculpts for being crystals, lots of smooth, curved edges in the facets. Most crystals have hard edges, these almost look like river stones, like theyve been smoothed out.

Since they have sculpted heads and some are inscribed, I'm guessing these are either Jedi or Whill artifacts that they are taking.

I don't know that I'd want to meet the Jedi or Sith who wields a lightsaber made with a crystal that large!

They could ignite it from 20 feet away...you'd be toast!

Yes.
When the rebels attached the tank.
They run up and grab them from the containment boxes.
