Did a bit of PP magic to make it look like flying. What you think?

Cool picture and fantastic weathering! What did you use to get those effects???

Beautiful model ! Love the weathering effect you have done. Seeing the detail on the model convinced me to just buy a kit on Amazon.

Well done ! This is one of my favorite ships.

Great eye for the details and the photography is just fantastic.

How exactly did you edit the photos ?

Thanks! Photography is another one of my most passionate hobbies. I used a Canon 6D, coupled with a Canon 24-105mm f/4 L and a Canon 100mm Macro f/2.8 L lens. All the editing was done in Adobe Lightroom. I cloned out the support holding the speeder itself to create the illusion of flying. Its quite a simple process really.

Joe, did this involve taking a shot with the model, then another from same position with the model moved to have clean background for the clone capture?

Its one shot, one capture. Of course before doctoring it the small plastic stand I used to get the model in position is clearly visible. Using a clone brush tool the stand is carefully cloned (erased) leaving only the model, looking like it is in mid air flight. Its a pretty easy process with the right software.

Okay, Joe. Thanks, I'm familar with the clone tool, but it often results in some recognizable 'patterning'. Good job on that!
