Hi there! Is anyone working on a "Director Krennic" sidearm/pistol/blaster/gun right now? :)

I started building the blaster, using a cheap plastic airsoft MP 40 version from China as a base.

In my opinion, the size is perfect.

Removed the complete interior.

Cut away the front-end of the barrel and the bottom part of the magazine holder.

Bought some plastic tubes (16mm and 20mm diameter) to create the scope.

Removed the upper square parts...

...and filled the big gap with a part of the 16mm plastic tube.

Stay tuned, there´s more to come. ;)

Some more progress...

Started to cover the front-end using hardfoam. Only glued it on one side, so I´m able to work on the inside.

And created the mount for the scope, also using hardfoam.

Smart idea starting with that airsoft gun! Do you have any idea what the muzzle looks like? We can see the end o the barrel but its missing about a 5" chunk of the gun itself sadly:unsure.
If I can find anything ohm that I'll get back to you on that.
Goodluck,
Alex

Made the "side greeblies" today. Material I used: hardfoam. ;)

That´s it for the moment. All the edges and bits I will clean up before painting.

Still thinking about putting in some electronics... A red LED for the "Laser" and maybe some sound effects... We will see... :)

Worked on the grips and mounted the scope today.

I made the grips out of hardfoam, glued them into place and sanded them into shape. I´m not sure, wether I should do the ripped-look. Don´t won´t to ruin the surface.

Sprayed on some grey primer, sanded the edges, drilled the holes for the screws (just to secure the whole scope mount, it´s glued with gel-superglue) and some more grey primer.

After attaching the scope and scope mount, I sprayed on some more grey primer. That´s what it looks like at the moment.

Recieved some perfect goodies for my "Director Krennic" costume.

The code cylinders with silver clips, made in italy, found on etsy (in the classic trilogy they were brass). (These are not scratches in the picture, it´s just reflections. They are perfect and shiny!) :)

The admiral´s rank bar from the USA and leather gloves from Germany (french army).
