Re: CADEUS's - (1:6 scale TITAN Atlas) WIP UPDATED!
Hello everyone. First of all, thank you all for your patience. It has been a while since I posted any progress on this, and for good reason. But today is the day!!! And I have something new to show you, I think... just one thing (cause you already saw the rest.) I have not had much time to work on her. And I am asshamed that my progress has not run concurrent with my expectations. But I digest. For your viewing pleasure:
This is the piece I don't think you have seen because it is fairly new. It was the first piece I built when I re-started. I thought it might help motivate me... I give you the "cod". It is not complete, but coming along nicely.
I got myself a nice sketch pad and re-calculated everything to make sure it was accurate, drawing the objects at scale before I cut them out and assembled them.
This is sketch of the bullet... I still haven't decided on a material to make it with. (I lack a lathe)
And here is the glamour shot. I inserted the scale drawing of the body for reference.
Now I realize this doesn't seem like much but I don't have a lot to work with at the moment. Most of what I did was finished at the dinner table, because I don't have a proper work-space. And I had to calculate and draw out everything by hand... no CAD programs here.
But I hope you are pleased and might offer me some support and maybe a few suggestions. I am working it out as I go along. Everything you see in the last shot is new. I had to re-build EVERYTHING. It was very, very boring and I almost gave up on it. I have the feet drawn to scale, and obviously the body, so those are my next three projects; (1 body, 2 feet). I will update as soon as I can but am reluctant to give a time-frame because I always seem to miss my dead-line. Your interest fuels me, and I am grateful!
As always, thanks for looking!
