Thor: The Dark World - Mjölnir Replica

Mine arrived today. It’s not bad, similar sized to the rest of what’s available. It weighs about 1.8 lbs and feels hollow and plastic-ish. The handle is thinner and has plastic mold lines running down it. The thick leather strap gives it a little helpful feeling of quality. The head is nice, the detail is good. All in all, I’d call it a step above the Disguise Thor Hammer with much better detail then the Museum Replicas metal one.

The wife’s appraisal was, “it’s been weighed and measured and found wanting”.

Here’s some comparison photos. From Left to Right:

That was rather quick shipping coming from China! When did you place the order?

Would you say the head is a thin plastic such as the Disquise hammer, or thicker plastic much like the Dr. Pepper hammer?

Thanks for the pictures. Looks alright... not bad for a $100 bucks but I decided to pass, hard to justify getting another hammer when I already have the eFx one.

So, all in all, how would you guys initially rank the value of the four (added the Dr. Pepper for 5)?

From what I've seen, I would say:

(1) EFX - Expensive, but great in every way. Excellent craftsmanship and materials.
(2) Dr. Pepper - Inexpensive (now) with nice detail and craftsmanship. OK materials.
(3) Lager - Semi inexpensive, but with nice detail and craftsmanship. Decent materials.
(4) Disquise - Very inexpensive with fair details and cheap materials.
(5) Museum Replicas - Expensive with good materials but very poor craftsmanship and details.

I purchased it on Jan 28th and received it today. There were 2 options for shipping to the States…$43.00 for registered and $53.00 for EMS…..I choose EMS….Pricey but not bad for 4 days.

The head plastic is definitely thicker then the Disguise hammer. It’s rigid and would take some force to flex…..I’ve never held the Dr. Pepper hammer so I can’t comment on that one.

The Dr Pepper is a very hard plastic. It would crack or break before it flexed.

I forgot to include it in the value post. I'd say it would be 2nd just behind the EFX ..value wise.

I gotta agree. From a distance and just looking at them, in many ways, the Disguise Hammer is better then the Museum Replica one…which is truly a shame.
But when you pick them up and feel the weight and the leather handle the story changes and it cancels out a lot of the Museum Replicas shortcomings.

The Efx Avengers Hammer is absolutely TOP SHELF in all ways and this is the one everyone should be hot to get…Aside from one that shoots lightning bolts, you can’t get better then this!

Added the Dr. Pepper to the list at #2. May need to swap it and the Lager on the ranking once I see it first hand.

THAT is an awesome collection of hammers my friend!!! I must say I am defo jealous...thank you for posting the comparisons, I am glad I didnt go ahead and buy the lager hammer now as its too small for my wants...

The eFx hammer defo looks like the size I want...I am going ahead with my project to make my own mjolnir...any chance you could do me a massive favor and provide exact dimension of the eFx hammer...so things like handle width, hammer (i.e the rectangular block part) width and height, the length, width and height of the hammer face and extensions and things? That would be amazing! :)

yeah ace collections and thanks for taking the time to photograph them all together, the one ont he left is called a disguise hammer? I bought one off ebay from America, cost more shipping than for the hammer haha.

Greatly appreciate the video! Mine should be here any day now, and I'll chime in with my two cents worth. Glad you like it, for I have been curious about the quality. Seems as if its well worth the $$$ though. Thanks again!

I was thinking about that, there is nothing stated anywhere, so maybe they're making quite a lot? That's a good thing in my opinion
