Makers Square is a makerspace\social club located in Fort Lauderdale, FL and has over 14,000 sqr ft. of indoor/outdoor space available for all artistic endeavors and projects. Carpentry, metalwork, textiles and sewing, along with 3D fabrication and electronics.
There will also be classes available to those uninitiated in a skill. Classes will cover such topics as hydroponics\aquaponics, welding, carpentry, sign making, blacksmithing, sewing, Circuit design, and much more.
Grand-opening and sign-up is this Saturday from 2-8pm, and Sunday at 3pm-8pm (5pm will be the ribbon-cutting ceremony).
I recently visited the location . John the Makers Square director is a really nice guy and facilities are a Makers dream. I'll be visiting tomorrow as well to see if any help is needed for the weekend. Check it out!
