Hello to everybody!

Let's begin with the W.I.P.

-T-Shirt-
At first, i bought a red Polyester t-shirt from Decathlon's website, and i painted it with brown spray paint. That was the result.

After, i made a kind of armor, with foam mat.
Hope you like my Snoopy's blanket too.

Now double-sided and put the t-shirt on. I redefined the lines with eyeshadow and pen. The R is in foam too. Here you are!

Re: Ultimate Arkham City Robin Cosplay!

Nice start! It looks pretty good! It's amazing how defined it looks even just sharpied in!

Re: Ultimate Arkham City Robin Cosplay!

Thanks to all! :) :)

now i'm gonna post the next part, the belt! Then the gloves, the boots and the mask! :)

Re: Ultimate Arkham City Robin Cosplay!

-The belt-

I think this is the most difficult and time expensive part of this cosplay.
There where many options to make a belt similar to robin's.

So many people pay little attention to the belt, then make it with little cure. I think the Utility belt is one of the most important aspect of a batman/robin cosplay.
I choosed the most difficult option: Make it in wood.

i cutted the wood to make 10 little rectangle boxes, then with a cutter, and a dremel i gave them the form. Chippings and wounds, Chippings and wounds everywhere.
And then the first piece saw the light.

I made some little changes to the original belt, but only for my comfort.
And, yes, i made the containers one by one.

Then i used a real judo belt, to have something where secure the container, just like this

And now, painting and finish.

Re: Ultimate Arkham City Robin Cosplay!

Uhm, great Idea the Wood pouches!
Try to put a coat of primer first, and then paint them.

Also try to work with the sandpaper to obtain a smooth surface ;)

Thanks! i will try with the primer.. The surface looks ruvid but is the picture bad and looks rough, but i assure you i worked so hard with sandpaper :):)

Re: Ultimate Arkham City Robin Cosplay!

Looks great! You could even use those to make vaccuformed parts that are hollow and light weight. I like the wood approach personally though. :)

Re: Ultimate Arkham City Robin Cosplay!

I think that the best wood to do this works is the MDF.

Re: Ultimate Arkham City Robin Cosplay!

Thats very solid work. There is a lot of crappy versions of this.

Re: Ultimate Arkham City Robin Cosplay!

Good start!! I agree that a primer, maybe several coats and sanding would be beneficial. Also, MDF would be a better and cheaper material. You've definitely got the passion and drive! Looking forward to the rest!

-Boots-

There's how i made Robin's Boots.

I bought at the supermarket a normal pair of rubber boots. You can also find them in sport markets.

Robin has a kind of protection on his shinbone, but is so strange to realize. I did the best i could.

adasdasdasdasdadad_by_cangiafriend-d5yvc92.jpg

With my usual mat i covered them behind, after cutting for resize, and then paint.

Then i glued the elastic straps. I think is much bigger than original but it was the only i had.

And now, silver paint and finish.

-Gloves and Bracers-

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I bought the gloves from ebay. These are paintball gloves (Empire). They're not expensive and very comfortable.

paintball-gloves-2.jpg

Then i painted with green spray paint and finish with the silver pen.

That's the result.

photo_1__2_aaaaaaa_by_cangiafriend-d5znxbr.jpg

So i took my favourite foam (i think i've got a lifetime stock lol)
and i maked the bracers. That was not difficult, it only takes 5 minutes. Behind are fixed with elastic straps.
