My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival : The Godfather

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - Lost (with small mod)

Great diorama, Alan! I loved "Lost" - I watched it with my girlfriend two years ago. But ...

The Mrs. & I are about to start on season 3 of “Lost”, never having the series before. ...

... I really hope, you will not be disappointed by the end of the show as we were. A small hint for you (no spoiler): Don't make the same mistake that we did, expecting sci-fi. Though it seems to be sci-fi sometimes - it isn't. It's a mystery show. With that in mind, you will enjoy the end of the show much more. ;)

Oh no worries there.

We are watching and enjoying it thoroughly as 96% mystery and adventure, and 4% supernatural.

It has become self-evident now, well into season 4, that there is a 'logical', down to earth explanation for almost everything.

As a side-note, we always watch a series once it wraps up, on DVD. I have no idea how you guys can 'wait till next week'. We just stick in the next DVD for instant gratification :lol

Although of course you can also say 'I don't know how you two can wait for 5/6/7 years :lol. Well, we do, because by the time a current series wraps up, we'd have watched half a dozen previous ones :D Eg. I got the Warehouse 13 DVD's when I could pre-order Season 5 in May IIRC :D

........ no more 'Lost' discussion now folks .......... please :lol

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - Lost (with small mod)

... But I can't wait to hear your opinion on the way the series ended :)

:lol :lol same here!

Great show, sucky....... I mean, "not so great ending" ;) :p

... I really hope, you will not be disappointed by the end of the show as we were.

Lost - We finished it last night :D

"Disclaimer" (kinda) - This is not to start a discussion, as there are are plenty of threads in the Entertainment forum for that :D

Just giving you guys my opinion as promised :)

The finale did not leave me with any unanswered questions as to what was going on. I got it from A to Z. Jack's father makes it abundantly clear what was going on at that particular time. Any unanswered questions, or I would say, mysteries rather, I take to be "it is what it is", entertainment. I was maybe expecting a little more "uuummmpfff" immediately after it ended, but, now that its the next morning, I think it was a great ending. I was just so used to 6 seasons of being short of breath, that I was automatically expecting a similar ending. However, I am very happy that they ended it with the characters 'getting what they wanted' and being happy. They deserved it after what they went through for crying out loud :lol. It left me with a wonderful fuzzy warm feeling of, corny as it may sound, they 'lived' happily after :D.

It's a show, a fantastic one, and there is / was no obligation to spoon-feed viewers with every single detail. In fact, I take it to be quite the contrary. eg I take the numbers thing to be simple numerology innuendos to link various events throughout the show and keep viewers on their toes. Mystery is cool :cool and the writers hit the nail on the head at all times with things like these.

There are simply not enough positive adjectives in the dictionary to describe the overall greatness of the show, including the ending :thumbsup

Ah, BTW, my last comment was made at the start of Season 4, where I said I was expecting 96% mystery and adventure, and 4% supernatural.

It fantastically turned out to be a 100% supernatural mystery adventure :cool

Oh I just take everything as entertainment provided to me for the mere cost of a DVD, so I am very rarely disappointed :D

Onto Farscape.

Absolutely loved this show and the various main characters in it :D

fsSG-983x507.jpg

So got me one of these and a few other things for a Farscape display :)

fsbx-977x629.jpg

Since I am a fan of the "Mint in Box - I don't get it" thread in the OT, out they go :lol

To be honest, Diamond did a far better job than Toy Vault with the face sculpts of Ben Browder & Claudia Black for their SG1 characters. But since they do form part of Farscape, they had to be here :).

However, I was especially extremely pleased with the other figures. The amount and quality of accessories they came with, together with the detail on the figures themselves and the clothing, is fantastic !

Yeah, a comment !

Sometime it feels like I'm in a monologue :lol

(kidding)

Thank you Marcus, much appreciated :)

The hat is an official el-cheapo one .... with the "Indiana Jones" pin on the side still attached :lol

rotl3.jpg

I know there are others out there with screen-accurate creases :lol, but I think this one is just fine for display :)

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrivals - Indiana Jones + Jurassic World

Ah, one of those :p the one I have is anything but cheapo :lol all in all it cost me $600, a Penman :love Though unlike you I lack a way of displaying it, along with the rest of the Indy stuff. I have been meaning to start a "my pretty damn screen accurate Indy LC costume"-thread but still need to show it off somehow :p

The thread might be mostly you talking to yourself but I for one check it out when it gets updated :)
