PropShop announces TFA Props!

Haha! I appreciate the support, but it truly was a dumb quesiton.

Ok, basically I asked if one of the owners could tell me where to find the serial number / edition number on the lightsabers. I had been under the impression that you could only read that off the RFID chip, because I've left my paperwork sealed on mine, and apparently I hadn't watched one of the many unboxings on YouTube or bothered to read the entire FAQ on the PropShop site.

There's some stupid even Google can't fix lol

I assume you found it on the back of the Authenticity Medallion then? :)

Hello, may I know who have the propshop FN-2187 helmet and bowcaster willing to let go. Please pm me. Thank you
I hate to be the one to point this out but it's not only inappropriate to post something for sale within someone else's thread but you just started posting here. You should familiarize yourself with the board rules for selling.

Lets just say I've suddenly found myself with an awful lot of spare time...

Given the current situation, is there anything you can now tell us about the Luke ROTJ-style saber made for TFA as seen in the behind-the-scenes video? Do you know if Mark Hamill was in fact wearing it in the last scene and it's just not visible, or was it created for a scripted scene that was later discarded or deleted? Do you know the thought process behind having it look more like the "hero"/clean saber from ROTJ vs. the scratched/chipped "V2" saber used in most ROTJ scenes?

Thanks in advance for any info you can share.

I'm not really surprised at the size. I get it that most times props or items in films appear much larger than they really are, though, you're not taking into account the scale of things or the size of the actors. Generally, they don't *need* actors to be a certain size if they can just use various filming methods to make them look larger (or smaller). Think Tom Hardy as Bane.

Now, Adam Driver is a naturally tall individual. To make a saber or prop for him, it should at least look properly proportionate to his body type. IIRC, He is 6'2". Not terribly tall to me, but tall enough to a majority of the population....so for him to carry a smaller scale saber doesn't entirely make sense.

When I owned the FX Kylo, I felt it was the appropriate scale knowing his size. Not that I know if the FX and PropShop version are identical in size, but it's clear the FX was "too big" to people who I showed it to.

Do you happen to have any screenshots of the scene showing the Lightsaber ?

i don't believe the luke's TFA saber was made when TFA was being filmed. i think it was made after filming and for episode 8.

i have seen behind the scenes photos, i can't find them now but they are on here

luke is standing in front of rey with his right hand all marked up with sensors lines for CGI reference. both hands are on his belt with his cape back. no saber hanging

a couple months ago we also got more pictures of them replicating the ending of TFA for episode 8 and right away u can see nothing hanging on his belt again... the photo i'm talking about is where we have learned luke is wearing the ugg boots

i can't wait to see episode 8 and how they introduce this saber. i'm curious if the "table saber" the only photo we have of the luke tfa saber is the hero or some kind of stunt...

As much as I like the Hero or even the TFA Luke the behind the scenes clip, I really hope they use the V2 going forward. It is my all time favorite and would love to see it continued into the next movies.

Why is this even being discussed. This thread is for Kylos hilt.

Actually the thread is for the now defunct company Prop Shop regarding any and all props/replicas they made or might have made. Since they supposedly had a hand in making props for TFA it is entirely feasible they created the Luke lightsaber, hence why its part of the discussion here.
