I know what you mean by the blue color, though -- it seems I've seen a number of phaser replica pics where the gray body has a blue cast but looks very different in person.

Our funnin' with miscolored licensed merchandise aside, for the record of course there were never any blue phasers. Montague can of course paint his whatever he pleases!

Oh man, I remember those! I think my brothers and I may have had them, but I don't know if they were branded as Star Trek guns though.

Yea, I'm pretty sure that is the package they came in. I had one as a kid too. Had alot of fun with it shooting those disks.
