What is the the detail at the bottom right? I'm guessing it's the opening on the underside near the left/port gear bay, but it's not shaped like I thought. Also, especially in this scale, does anyone else cringe at that gap between the mandibles and the saucer section? There are parts that seem to join to ensure the gab--without modifying. I'm not saying there is no gap on the studio model, but the size of the gap in that scale. Seems like it should be barely visible in 72nd scale, let along 144.
This part?

Some of the pipework has changed though....(a lot of the sidewalll greeblies has also)
Perhaps its the shape of the 32" you are used to?

The thing I'm keen to find out is whether the front ESB landing gear boxes are removable for a possible Star Wars (ANH) version
The overhang looks OK at the minute, have to wait for better pics

Yeah, it's the back end that throws me off. it's pretty much at a 90 degree angle on the studio model, but angles sort of back (or rather, it angles towards the front of the ship rather than being parallel) on this model. I'm not sure I even know how to describe it.
oh now I realllllyyy dont like you anymore :devil ....Well, after seeing those pics of the Falcon, I just couldn't resist, just ordered one of the 5 left available from Hobby Japan on eBay. $38 plus $13 shipping. Same place I ordered my T-70.
Giggity Gig...
