This is my latest Gundam costume make using version 10 of my making method. (I posted version 9 at http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=160555 about 3 years ago) Version 10 takes on a new approach whereby:
1) I construct the skin(PVC wrapping) 1st before make the structure using corrugated plastic to reinforce it. Accuracy is higher and visuals are improved as a result.
2) I redesigned the shoulder joint structure for better mobility and also for easy packing for overseas travel
3) I broke up the costume into several small parts to ease overseas travel and assemble them before I put it on
4) I redesign the lighting circuit so that I can easy replace or transfer battery packs to different parts of the costume
5) I designed a stable but light structure that can hold the weight of wings
6) I further reduced the size of the head to make the costume look more proportional
