Total Recall [1990] Melina's necklace

I love Melina's necklace in Total Recall, which appears to have been made from Mars junk and leftover mining hardware. I felt compelled to make it!

Sourcing all the individual items was a fun little project, including:

• 1924 East Africa 10 Cents coin
• beads made from FIMO, nail polish, superglue, sand and quartzite beads
• brass pipe ferrule
• 4mm rubber cord
• o-ring
• the black and brass-coloured beads on the shorter necklace are 3d-printed as I couldn't for the life of me find what those are

⁠Here's a close-up, a screenshot from the movie, and a shot from the outfit's prop store auction, at which point the shorter necklace was missing the brass and black beads that appeared/disappeared in the movie between shots.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it now, it's not necessarily a style of jewellery I'll wear a lot. But it was really fun making it.
