Suicide Girl Olivia Black Fired from Pawn Stars

Wait, you mean the "All WW2, all the time" channel or do you mean the one with gun shows, Modern Marvels, etc? Frankly, I always thought the History Channel was a bit of a joke. It was way better in the past than it is now, but that's damning with faint praise. The only time the History Channel really surprised me was when it was running a BBC production (Simon Schama's History of Britain). The rest of the time it was fairly ho-hum.

History International was the good one for a while as it had a lot of documentaries from the BBC but now it's just what the history channel was. The military channel is WW2 all the time for sure.

That's why it is super important people (especially the younger folk) make sure they don't put anything on the net that could potentially haunt them years or even decades later!

Why do people get fired for things in their past?

Are we saying that person isn't fit to work? No, because they eventually get hired somewhere else.

So it's ok to have something in your past, as long as it is known, but if something is "discovered", then you have to be "punished"? So it's not anything regarding the actual past, it's just become the normal jerk reaction to a surprising discovery.

What a load of crap.

Ever seen swimsuits from the 1920s? Take a stroll down South Beach now. Times change.

In a post Kim Kardashian world where everyone has video on there phones, it's going to take more than a leaked sex tape to get attention. Wonder what the next level of shocking will be?

Excellent advice. It's what Art mentioned in his first post and the media selling folks a bunch of bull with that "be yourself" silliness. The result is a self centered culture that values worthless celebrities and fails to recognize much outside their own selfish consumer cravings.
