There are just a few 'ok' shots of the interior while it was being worked on, maybe 4 or so; hoping there are others around. Anyone have any leads or links?

Thanks.

Not much help but these are what I have.

That's them! Heh and thank you, I didn't have two of them... so this is fantastic.

I know the tale of how the 'paint job' was done but keep hoping to find something more on the specific parts that were cast for the middle detail bits, too. But anything with large overall proportions helps, so again, this is great stuff.

Found these about an hour ago.
From what it says on forgotten trek, the model was destroyed after filming.
Thanks again. These I have and they were the main shots to start to sort out scale...
Oh destroyed with prejudice I'd say, No reason or means to keep around, which is a shame. Part of what leads to a lot of shot re-use, alas. ;-)
I'll keep building this out best I can, going to be a lot of interpretation!

I wish I could help, I've been hunting for behind the senes Spacedock photos for ages, they're pretty elusive. The only ones I have were already posted.

I'm willing to bet "real money" there were many more behind-the-scene polaroids taken at the time. Sadly, they're all probably in an old dusty binder, sitting in a box, stuffed away in some garage in California, destined for the landfill.

Fingers-crossed that new images surface here.

The remaining images at ILM were trashed before the move to the Presidio.
Figures. Uh, can just imagine…

…“What’s in that box? … old Trek photos? Such a boring show, who’d want that s**t”? … just toss it”

Good god! Makes me sick.

Of course, the Refit and Excelsior models were large and inserted optically.

If that interior were replicated, maybe 1/1000 ship models.

I think the only ship model actually in the thing was the longer of the two Planet of the Titans study--but that's just a guess...it might have been interpreted as the Magellanic Cloud type craft in the novel.

i myself am doing this in 1/2500 scale... last time it was 1/537 and that led to a divorce...
