So in the never-ending saga of digging up buried movie treasure, today was as fruitful as every other day.

With tue discovery of 2 production made newspapers from 1954s 20000 Leagues Under The Sea, as well as the original print block, untouched since 1954

It was a mess. I went there the second day and it was trashed. Most everything g was in awful shape at that point

Often it's a bean counter or a lawyer concerned about image or IP making the decision. And historically, those types don't care about the stuff.

Not sure if this is news to anyone, but those flourishes either side of the masthead are the same style used on the Goonies Chester Copperpot newspaper. Looks like they must have had a few of those blocks knocking about.
