In fact, I measured my "self fixed" version of the V1 Darkside's file and compared it with yours (plus reference pictures).

V2 version is really better. Maybe still slightly short but definitely better. I'll build one and keep you informed. As you said, we need to take the upper part in consideration, so I'll check this when it's built.

great work on the files omarbou! i just downloaded your v2 helmet and forearrm. just a thing though, there are 3 vents on the missile pod section of the forearm that you missed. i noticed you are using the legacy 3d rendering as your base, but there are some details that were changed between that 3d model and the final movie render. i can't wait for your bicep file, i'm subscribing to this thread!

yea i decided not to make the 6 vents on the missile pod since it would distort the shape of the pod and it can easely be added using a dremel tool !

just finished your hip pod and sent them on your way !
the neck is about finished i guess next is the shoulders and the elbow !!

well here is the v2 maybe its fixed ! i didn't get my attention into this !

Thanks ! I generaly use blender and of i need to prep a file for 3d printing i use 3ds max

Be sure to keep the supports during the resin stage !
Oh and be sure to make more than one fiberglass and resin coat ! You certainly dont want the fiberglass to rip off while you bondk the piece !!!

The supports, surprisingly, pretty much failed on me as soon as I started the resin.... lol... but then I never have had any real luck with supports of any kind. So I counter-balanced it... but with my resin-application method, I'm not overly worried.
What I'm doing is a few (3 on average) super-light resin coats to offset any fluid weight... and then the same on the inside before I use any fibreglass to reinforce.
I'm not going the Bondo route, though... I'm likely going to keep the suit fiberglass or a similar material and cast my originals in silicone, then pour some positives from the mould (resin or polyurethane or another durable polymer) and smooth with epoxy.

Here's another pair of pics... light coats of resin on all the aforementioned pieces.

Duuuude omarbou1 this is legit! I've been following darksides thread for so long, I didn't even know anyone else was modeling the mark 7! Fantastic work! I'm really looking forward to a mark 7 neck, finally!

I think something we desperately need is a good under armor file for under the armpits and stuff. Maybe with some actuators. Maybe one that could be used for different iron man suits as well. Or maybe a new mark 7 chest and back?
