Old Times Revisited (Hardware Saber Making)

When I first discovered this site about 20 years ago my first foray into prop making was building hardware lightsabers from whatever I could find. I recently found some old pictures of past projects.

I also attempted to build a graflex. Everything was scratch built except the grips were a purchased part from a vendor here. I used stainless steel for everything and I remember it being very difficult to make the clamp and lever.

That Graflex is pretty sweet. While it's not 100% accurate, it doesn't look hand made either.

They're awesome. Many hardware lightsabers look nothing more than hardware stuffs cobbled together to me. Yours look like props.
Back in these days I would have sell my soul to get such a graflex lightsaber replica.
