UPDATE:
With all the horror stories about CABoots screwing up orders, I was somewhat nervous when I heard that mine shipped... they nailed everything I asked for!!! Wait-time was only 6 weeks.

Spent some time working on the compass.
Turned this...
into this.
Hit the whole thing with a couple coats of Satin Clean polyurethane. All finished!
Gave my AM buckle the slightest bit of weathering.
The belt and effects.
I still need to add the black smudge on the belt. Mum's head needs some new hair and a paintjob. Rooster foot needs a nail clipping. That thing is like a mini raptor! Still waiting on my mermaid charm.
I'm trying to finish up my breeches tonight (save for the buttons I'm waiting on) and don't have the screen accurate buckles yet. Anyone with said buckles willing to share what size strap fits through them? Capn_Jack_Savvy? 1 inch? I won't have them until after I need the pants wearable, but I'd like to at least have the straps sewn on.

Well, my Costumebase rings showed up (only to find out that Skinny Dog will be rereleasing Jack's rings) and I couldn't stand the color of the stolen ring.
A test with blue painter's tape gave me the go ahead with some royal blue acrylic on the back side. It looks more purple in person. My cell camera gives everything a blueish hue.
My "safety orange" weapons are no longer such... The flash somewhat kills the dirtiness. They look almost too filthy in person.
Finally, my beautiful ACME baldric and scabbard arrived over the weekend. Unfortunately, my Disguise cutlass is a little too fat to fit the scabbard... it could go in about 1/3 of the way. I couldn't go out with the plastic scabbard that came with the sword, so I decided to make my own with the most realistic faux leather vinyl I could find. The ACME scabbard will be back in commision for my not-safe-for-bar "Spack Jarrow".
And with the Baldric.

Went to the bar for a costume contest last night, so I got to give the ensemble it's maiden voyage. Still have some tweaking to do, but it was good enough for how rushed I was getting ready to leave!
I still need to do more weathering, mostly just add holes, make a new beard braid because I lost one over the coarse of the night, and much more makeup.

Got to be in a few costume contests this year.
Thursday night I lost to a Michael Jackson. His fraternity was louder than everyone else.
Friday night I lost to a couple of Toy Army Men. Second place went to a group of "Beer Knights". They cut up beer boxes to make armor and weapons. Each was a different brand. Third place was a "Catholic School Girl". Is that even really a costume?
Saturday night I lost to the worst Kenny F'in Powers I'd seen all weekend.
All in all, it was disappointing, but I had fun regardless. Now I just have to figure out another way to pay off some of my more expensive items.
Anyway, here's a couple pics from the weekend.
