Need help with casting

Hi guys I have question I'm making a green ranger dragon coin to fit into my morpher but the thing is its chipping every time i push it in on the sides what's something strong enough to cast it in so It won't chip or scrape. Is resin any good?

Smooth Cast 300 series polyurethane resin - look for the shore D rating for hardness - can be tinted with a variety of colors, metal powders, etc.

a clear epoxy resin might work pretty well for that size
