My "The Avengers" Captain America costume (page 3 update!)

The mask fits quite well. It's one of those latex helmets from China over on EBay for about $90. I have a 23.5" head and there's still enough room for the under hood

Obviously I am new here, but I was looking for tips for a Captain America outfit and found this thread. My costume is no where near this authentic, but it is coming along.

anyways,

I just want to ask you guys one thing. How did you dye, or paint (or whatever) that mask? I got one in the mail today (a month after following that link you posted) and it is quite a bit darker than my jacket and pants. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

I'll have to post a picture of my costume as it stands now, so you know I am not in ANY competition with you for best costume. lol
