MR 501st Clone Trooper Helm

Ok. So I need some help here from you MR experts. I picked this up a few years back. The only thing it came with is itself. There was no plaque, stand, etc.. It is an MR as I have confirmed that much, and the 501st paint (in person is lighter than the pictures show) matches exactly to other 501st helms, the copywrite is 2006. Where I get lost on this is the blue below the brow is missing and the rest of the helmet is pristine. So it doesn't have the full weathering that was released later.

My best guess is that this one was an artist proof???
