Matt Smith Tardis

Thanks. Was hoping to build one soon, and didn't want to start from scratch.

I know what you mean, sometimes a small head start can be just what you need to get well ahead of the game.
In which case I hope that my build thread will be just the pill, or maybe I should say in this instance it may just be the BIG FRIENDLY BUTTON you desire.
The build thread will be picture heavy and I am trying to put my drawings/templates up as well, that's why I thought it best to post it as a separate thread.
But if I miss something then just drop me line and I will endeavour to assist.
I have already made a few suggestions on it with regards to reference material, so I hope that it is of some use to you.

Hi RPFers,
As promised a few more of the finished shots.
As I have stated, I will be posting a few more detail finished shots later and a better video on this thread, whilst continuing the separate build thread here ; http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=276306. The second section of the build thread will be posted shortly.

Thanks for all your positive comments so far and your interest.
But for now, some more finished shots;

This just gets better and better. It would be awesome to have one in 1/6 scale for my series 7b 11th Doctor. He's currently my favorite new series Doctor. It's a very close tie with Eccleston.

Hi NakedMoleRat,
Thank you so much for your 2nd comment on this thread, I am very pleased that you like this video as well. I thought you guys would appreciate a video that was a bit more detailed.
It took a while to get it done, as just for your information, everything was done in the can, so as to speak. I couldn't manage to get a clean smooth edit on the video, so after a lot of practice runs with the music blaring out in the background, this was done in one take.
I bought my son the 5" Time of the Doctor Set with the different heads, to play with this Tardis, only thing is now I have to mod a Clara in Victorian garb.
Check out the AFT website, they have a download for a paper Tardis that is very good, for both scales of 3.75" and 5".
Failing that, have a look at the now completed build thread that I posted here; https://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=276306, it may give you some ideas.
