Mass Effect M8 Avenger Rifle Scratch Build

Scratch building a new prop for my Mass Effect costume. It's made mostly of insulation foam and craft foam. Light as a feather but sturdy enough to survive at a convention.

The detail lines are very messy because I simply did not have the right tool to make them. All I had at hand was a soldering gun which was unwieldy and did not have a very sharp tip. It looks good enough though, at least for cosplay.
Have yet to add the barrel and decals. I also plan on adding a bit more detail to the scope.

DEFINITELY good enough for con. And for display, too.

It is amazing that this was made out of just foam, did you seal the foam before painting? If so, what did you use?
